Setup Your Miner

This is how you start

1. Sign Up for a Akaros Pool account

Choose your username. You will need it for login and setup your miners with. Also you need valid email address for activation your account.

2. Login into your account

Wait for activation link. You will recieve by email. After open this link, you can login.

3. Configure your mining devices

Individual hardware manufacturers may have specific settings requirements and different settings interfaces. Please follow their official documentation when setting up your miners. This also applies to cloud mining services.

Your miner must be connected to one of our pool servers listed below. Remember to configure the user credentials to your account. The login credentials needed for your miner look like this (please change yourusername and worker according to your account information):

Password and worker can by anything. It is not necessary add workers manually, our system will add every worker automatically. You can use different worker name for each mining device for more efficient monitoring.

Akaros Pool servers are located all around the world. For better connection and lower latency, please use one of the location specific URLs instead of the general URL.

The miner username (your login name) is satoshinakamoto and your worker is named myminer1. Your location is in Europe so you will connect directly to EU server. Configuration would look like this:

4. Set your payout address

To collect your reward you have to set up a payout address in the Settings > Payouts. Once you reach the minimum threshold, your rewards will be sent there. You can start mining even without this address being registered, but it is highly recommended that you register it straight away.

If you do not have an address yet, you need to get a wallet first. We recommend the Trezor Hardware Wallet for maximum security.
